We went to the USU/BYU football game with my mom. Atticus loved it and quickly picked up on when to cheer and boo by watching others. Although he cheered "Go Aggies!" no matter who scored. (Not that BYU was scoring much...) My Aggies were kicking so much bum and since the game was late, we left in the 3rd quarter. Then our lovely evening began.
We took Frontrunner down to Provo. We called and talked to them beforehand and we were assured there would be additional trains running that night due to the game. There were shuttles running from the train station to the stadium and we asked our driver on the way into the game, and she told us that the shuttles would also be running back and forth throughout the game. Lies. All of them.
The shuttles were not running throughout the game. We were allowed to board one (Where my son quickly fell asleep) but were told they would not be allowed to take us back to the train station until the bus filled. We waited about 20-30 minutes before the shuttle filled. If BYU hadn't been losing so badly we may have been waiting much longer, but everyone was leaving the game. When we got to the train station (I think around 10:30) we were informed that yes they were running extra trains like we had been told. But by trains, they meant train, singular. They would be running one last train a half hour after the game ended. So there we were on the the freezing train platform waiting for the game to end. A game we could have been at least watching instead of the empty buildings across the tracks. It was nice to get to hang out with my mom though and Atticus was bundled and sleeping so that was nice. He woke up the second we finally got on the train though, and was wide awake and happy to be on the train for the whole ride. I'm sure plenty of people judged my parenting as we didn't get home until sometime in the 2 o'clock hour but oh well. Atticus loved it and still talks about the train and the "boogers" (cougars) football game.
He wore grandpa's sweatshirt for awhile to keep warm and then unfortunately I had to wear it the whole time we waited for the train etc so people thought I was a cougar fan.
We spent lots more time in Farmington. So some trips to Lagoon Trail happened. It's one of my happy places.
He wasn't even a little bit scared of this horse.
Atticus has made friends with the little boy, Knight, across the street. This is pretty much all they do together. Our driveway slants, so once they get their lawnmowers to the top the let them go and chase them down.
He is getting more and more obnoxious. And that second one is how his dad does his hair.
Reading Halloween stories. Boys in flannel are so snuggly.
This kid's hair...
We spent a day up at the Bronson's cabin. With the help of Papa Jon, Atticus fed the birds right from his hand.
We went to Gardener Village with Nana Nae to see the witches. Don't mind my chubby pregnant-lady face.
Atticus moved to a big boy bed and was thrilled. Thanks to my mother-in-law Renee for helping me make his quilt. I'm in love with it.
Corn maze with Dan!
Corn maze with Dan!
And jumping on some nasty foam things.
He's got some new favorite songs.
So he got these new jammies and for some reason I find him over the top adorable in them so I couldn't stop taking picture of him on our snuggly morning.
I told him to show me how handsome he looked.
Painting over the pink in "Baby Bobo's" room.
Atticus loves the book What Was I Scared Of? Which is about someone being afraid of some "pale green pants with nobody inside them" and then it turns out they are afraid of him too and they become friends. So Dan rigged these pants up for him to find one morning. He was pretty unimpressed at first. Just stared at them like he had no idea why his pants were floating in his way.

He quickly found the fishing line and pointed out to his dad how the pants got there.
After we reminded him they were like the ones in the book he was excited and told me about them in awed tones.
He then put his arm around them (and made Dan do it, too) just like he does in the book.
And he had to hug them goodbye before our errands that day.
Thus ends the random highlights of our autumn time.
