3 Months!

And what was happening behind the scene... (ps, this was 7:30 in the morning)

My goodness this kid just keeps getting cuter!  Seriously, he has dimples!  We have been enjoying some serious one-on-one time since school's been out.  And he is so much fun.

Here are some facts about Atticus during his third month:

-He is still such a good baby.  He's crying a little more these days but mostly just to get some attention and cuddly time.
-He grew a ton this month.  He is so tall all of a sudden.  Although he's still too small for his 3-6 month clothes and even a lot of his 0-3 month shorts fall off his little tush.  (His tush may be the cutest thing I've ever seen by the way.)
-He LOVES his daddy.  He gets excited just hearing his voice and I swear he naps/calms better for him than for me.
-Unless he's super sleepy, he does not like to be leaning back.  If he's in a sitting position (like in his car seat) he wants to be completely strait up.  This leads to him straining his neck and head forward in an attempt to sit upright and is kind of funny to watch.
-He also loves to be held in a standing position.
-We have ditched the swaddle.  It worked so amazing but he started constantly kicking it off which woke him up.  I now just have to wrap him under his arms and let his feet stick out the bottom.  Of course he now will occasionally flail his arms and wake himself up but oh well.
-His squeaking has all but stopped.  He was such a squeaker, every minute or so making noise in his sleep.  Now it's like a normal baby.  I miss his cute squeaks.
-We put him in his own room this month.  He's still getting used to it.  He usually lasts until around 4 a.m. at which point he grunts and cries until I come get him and he sleeps next to me for the next couple hours which means I get no sleep.
-He's a horrible napper.  He fights the nap and will only nap in his swing or occasionally when held.  But seriously, his naps average about 40 minutes.  And if he wakes up after ten, trying to get him to go back to sleep only makes him mad.
-He still loves the bath and is learning to splash a bit.  Sometimes he thinks it's great and then sometimes it scares him.
-The pool though is not so exciting.  We swish him around in there and he could not be more bored.
-His eyebrows grew in!
-He loves the song "Take Me to the River" by the Talking Heads.  Anytime I put that on I can get him to laugh.
-He laughs.  Usually it's just the"Pah" (See "I Love to Laugh" on Mary Poppins) but we've started getting a bit of a giggle in there.
-He is obsessed with his feet.  He discovered them a few weeks ago.  And he will just stare at them. At first I don't think he realized they were attached to him and when they'd move he'd get really excited.  I think he knows they're his feet now but still just stares at them all day.  He also loves to have his feet tickled and kissed.  That's how I entertain him when he's in the shopping cart.  I kiss his toes and it gets the biggest smiles from him.
-About a week before his third month birthday, girlfriend was over and he rolled over for her.  He rolls from back to front.  I'm pretty sure he's not doing it on purpose but he does it all the time now.  He's been able to roll back to his back a few times and once he even managed to get his arm out from underneath his stomach for a complete roll over and then promptly began to cry because he hates tummy time.
-Because he was early, the doctor said he may be behind on some milestones by a month or two.  It's called adjusted age or something.  At the very end of the month he finally was able to start consistently grabbing/swatting at things.  He has a harder time grabbing and he's not sure how to let go of things really.  But he has much more fun on his little floor gym now.  He also started the same day to be able to put things in his mouth and now he's constantly sucking on his hands, licking his toys, my pants, etc.
-He can also maneuver his binky back into his mouth if it falls out on his chest.

Father's Day
These are his super cuddly pajamas.  He grew out of them and I am sad.
He has great morning hair.
I did his hair for this one.
He likes to sit on the dryer while I do laundry.
 Looks like dad.
 Texas Hold 'em
He thought it was so hilarious that we were taking a picture of ourselves sleeping.
Hi there.
Meh to the pool.
Did not want to be on his back.
Got to hang out with grandpa.

Blessing Day

Atticus was blessed this last Sunday on Dan's birthday which was kind of fun.  (Especially because Dan was blessed on his dad's birthday)  We apparently are bad friends because we only invited family.  And girlfriend (who is also his fairy godmother) and Petra were not pleased.  It was a great day though and it was good to hang out with some family.  My brother even flew in from Denver just for the day!  Jon (Dan's dad) bore his testimony during the meeting and mentioned how he had wanted to name Dan Atticus, something I had not been aware of.  He also talked about how Atticus Finch is the perfect archetype of Christwhich I have always agreed with and thought was sweet of Jon.  He also talked about faith and how he chooses to have faith and how it has brought him happiness.  I bore my testimony as well, but not before my dad told me it was obligatory and Jonathan said I'd be a bad mom if I didn't...

Afterwards at my house we sang to Dan in the Bronson style (beautiful and harmonized) and then in Williams style. (No united key, and basically just noise...)   Dan was spoiled by me (actually by himself) and got a tablet for his birthday/father's day.

Atticus was good all day.  He even spent the actual blessing just staring up at everyone.  What a great kid I have.  He wore a cute little suit that my mom got for him and we used the blanket the Bronson's brought us from Bethlehem last Fall, which I think is so cool!

Okay, a million pictures now.

 The classic blessing day picture
And whatever this one is about...
The ceiling fan was super awesome to watch.
 Dan's new tablet
Grandma Nae-I have to laugh at his face in this one
Grandma
 Great-Grandma Stella
And Great-Granny (another awesome face)
This is how Jimmy spent his time.
Jonathan was overly pleased that Atticus fell asleep in his arms.  Apparently his kids don't do that.  I think Atticus stared himself to sleep.
With his only two cousins that were able to make it, Crew and Eli.  These two are so cute with him.  When they were holding him, we called Renee in to see.  She barely took the time to look at them, just kind of freaked out, blurted out the word "camera!" and ran off to find said camera.  Then of course took about 27 pictures.
They were giving him kisses in this one.

The kid was quite the model for everyone.
And then tuckered himself right out from all of the action.
While he slept the Bronson entertained themselves by watching videos of puss-filled zits being popped.  Sheri and I refrained from joining.  (Renee's face...)
More modeling.  Look at his wonderful posture.
 That is one cute kid.
