Books

For lack of anything else to write about, I will now make myself look like I am so amazing and show all what I've been reading this year.  At least the ones I could remember reading.  I would recommend most books here.  Also, I don't know why I read so many Nicholas Sparks books.  It's rare that I enjoy them.  I will mention too, that many times I had to take books back to the library having not had time to read them.

(Cause how could I not read this book every year?)

Two Tickets to Paradise.

Eat your heart out.

Dan and I are going in February with my parents.  Who, let's face it, might as well live in Disneyland.  I'm pretty sure my mom at least has been about twelve times in the last year.

Everybody Wants Sammy?

So I don't know what it is about my little sister, Samantha...  Maybe it's just that she's so tiny and cute.... But little children always love her best.  From the beginning, no matter how much I spoiled them, our niece and nephew (Tate and Kyndi) would ditch me as soon as Sam showed up and only want her.

Well, I will show her.  Though I feel that Kyndi and Tate will always be a lost cause for me, after them came this one....
(Oaklee)
Then this one not too long after that....
(Dayton)
And fortunately, this one left real soon after that.
(Samantha, not that little girl that I don't know.)
And has now been gone a year and a half. (almost)  giving me ample time to convince those two that they love me most.
Convincing....

Convincing...
Getting closer....
Almost there....
Sold!
And so I have successfully stolen these two away from dear Auntie Sammy.  HAHA!  Oaklee won't even go to grandma if I'm there.  (Of course we'll see how long it lasts once they get re-acquainted with Sam.)   But right now, I win!

Still no word yet on where these twos loyalties lie...

Babysitting

So Friday through Sunday after Thanksgiving, my older sister, Stefanie, took off Vegas and left her and Kam's six kids (they took baby #7 with them) at my parents house.  I went back down on Friday night to help out while my parents went to the Jazz game.  The next day was my dad's birthday so I stayed that day too to help out.  Those are some of the best behaved kids I've ever seen.  Of course it helped that mostly the older four played Wii the entire time.
I did this girl's hair three times this day and plastered it down with hairspray each time.  This was about three hours after the third attempt.
I think with the competition from Dayton, Oaklee realized she did still love her grandma too.
 Grandpa's birthday card from Kyndi.
Kyndi was too embarrassed to stay by grandpa while he read her card.  She ran and hid behind Morissa.
 We're best pals
The kid ate spaghettios for an hour.  I think he ate more than the fourteen year old and he had them down his neck by the time he was through.
 Pretty much the best part.
