Domestic Update

So I was really going strong with my domestic-tivity for a while there but then I got a job and suddenly have no time.  But here are some domestic things I did manage to finish first.  (Really it's just recipes as I was trying to do at least one or two new recipes a week.)  There are now about four other unfinished projects and several more ideas for such in the works but until I calm down at work, that's not happening.

This is the only project I managed to finish
Baked apples
Strawberry-Lemon muffins.  Which I made from scratch.  I use whole wheat flour so no, they are not burned.
These were possibly the most delicious meatballs ever.
Cinnamon Pull-aparts.  Yes, these did get burned on the top, but I made up the frosting recipe myself and it was amazing.
Sweet and Sour Chicken (Don't mind the mess on the counter)
Chocolate Meringues.  These were crazy.  Dan called them Dr. Seuss cookies.
Now these I can't claim for myself.  I had tons of help bottling this tomato juice from my parents and even a bit from Justin and Megan.  This is my favorite thing I've done food-wise and if you know any of the Williams', you know why.  There are 30 jars all together ps.

Well, that's really all, there are several other recipes that I didn't take pictures of.  But my new recipe each week plan has failed since school started.  Ask me if I even went grocery shopping this week...
I'm working on a few projects still.  Another baby blanket, the shelf for my bathroom, a centerpiece for my table, and now that Halloween is coming, I have a few ideas for that too.  Maybe I'll keep you posted and maybe none of them will ever get done.

Disclaimer at the request of my mother:  ANTM=America's Next Top Model.

I will also say, forgive me for writing all kinds of crazy stuff about girlfriend and me that didn't make sense to most of you.  But good for you for reading it I guess.  You just wish you were that awesome.

"Well Bi......"

Our Culture! Part V

For that summer, I don't even know if girlfriend and I had roommates or not.  We were a little too busy to notice as someone thought it would be a good idea for us to do efy together.  Mostly the summer was spent being obnoxious with a bunch of teenagers.  Loved us some Barbies, some Indian attacks, some stealing leftover Firehouse pizza, some crazy awesome dance moves that embarrassed the youth, some screaming at the top of our lungs, some blue and green polos, and some pictures of the day.
We also loved ourselves some counselor clumps.
It is always appropriate to open your mouth as wide as possible.  It helps everyone to see how exciting and fun you are.
We very much enjoyed some sabbaticals from showering.  Not like that's out of the norm...
We also enjoyed passion patrol, awesome eye shadow applications, 14 year old girls who were in love with counselors, and 14 year old girls we wish were our friends.  We had interesting experiences when getting dizzy in elevators and in getting dizzy playing spin and sprint.  We enjoyed replacing regular eating with Aggie Ice Cream and Waffle Crisp, sleep for telling teen-age girls to to get back in their rooms, our feminine voices for husky man ones, and cute clothes for polo t-shirts 4 sizes too big.  We were fortunate enough to be involved in all kinds of drama (both from youth and other counselors), stalk Stu, fall asleep on sidewalks, be completely idiotic and loved for it, and cry our eyes out every Thursday.

Sadly girlfriend moved away from me when summer ended.  Almost 10 whole blocks away!  It was rough.  But don't worry our adventures didn't end there and we can definitely look forward to some new and exciting adventures as we are now carpooling to work everyday!  And learning about meditation for super tiny people.  Oh dear.  I will leave you with some last judgments on the appropriateness of some more recent activities.

People Moshing all around you at an acoustic concert?
Not appropriate.
Smooching a member of Yellowcard making him feel extremely awkward and nervous?
Appropriate.
Coloring instead of normal social activity?
Appropriate.
Playing Rumikub for several hours?
Inappropriate.
Being picked on by the Durven?
Appropriate.
Girlfriend catching my bouquet?
Appropriate.
(It's apparently her year.)
Again, awkwardly kissing a strange boy.  This one the boyfriend of my cousin?
I'd have to say appropriate.

Peace and blessings ya'll!  Peace, and blessings.

Our Culture! Part IV

Back to the amazing lives of Nicole and I.

You may have been curious to this point as to why Nicole and I are known to each other as girlfriend.  Well, we like to go on dates together and such.
Holding hands at The Fun Park.
A beautiful drawing Girlfriend did.  Although, inaccurate as when we're together, Dan is the third wheel.
We go to parties as famous political couples.  Just say no to drugs, kids.
Making sure my tie is strait.
Here we are at The Elements.  Our usual eating spot is Firehouse.  Where we each order our own large pizzas.  Don't judge us.
Yes, a lot of mine and girlfriend's activities revolve around food.  Not food of a healthy nature either.
Here I will put a bit of a sentimental note.  While Nicole and I are not always the best at talking each other through hard times, she always knows just how to help me out.  Just like this time when she brought me home my own carton of Aggie Ice Cream.  And we pigged out together.  (Chairs are for suckers.)
We are also so amazing that boys we hardly know we'll just buy us pizzas.
But please, you need not worry.  Though we don't always eat the healthiest, we make sure to get plenty of exercise.

Here we prepare to do some Barbie Aerobics.  Some Barbie-Cise, if you will.
Always complete the warm-up.
We're easily confused by exercise videos with a target audience of five year olds.

Anyway back to our last year as roommates.
This was girlfriend's first year teaching fifth grade and I think the thing I heard her say the most, besides "I hate children" was "What should I teach tomorrow?"  I would often help by sitting in her room, (we couldn't sit in my room as, as per the usual, I had been blessed with the most special roommate) and watching her try to be productive.

Halloween is always a wonderful time.  How could you not love a holiday where you have an excuse to dress up?
Clearly that year Halloween was a blast.
This particular year, girlfriend went as raunchy old lady teacher.
Some really random and awkward things happened that year.  Like, visiting girlfriend in her classroom, ("Uh... Miss Cecil?  I'm not gay.") unnecessarily borrowing things from the boys upstairs just so we could see Deundrae and his other basketball player friends, wishing those same gentlemen a happy Martin Luther King Day, Again, being caught by those same boys whilst dancing on the coffee table, avoiding our roommates, hating Grubby, trying to get Sonny to learn Girlfriend's real name, and staging an official...

Night of Awkwardness!
Which included falling down a muddy hill, running into our favorite member of the marching band, randomly visiting a cousin I rarely see,
and of course, stalking Jordan's front door.
There was also the epic night when we discovered a bail of hay in our parking lot.  Why would we not go grab a camera and a cowboy hat?
Don't worry that we are so hilarious that maybe Nicole peed a little.
Also, when we ran inside for a bit, we came out to find the hay had disappeared!
We definitely went lurking about to find it.
Impromptu dance party!!

If there was one song to sum up that last year we lived together, I believe it would go a little something like this...
And again, we see girlfriend's love for randomly doing lunges...

Socially Awkward

So don't worry that more than a few times this week I have either been having a conversation with someone only to then realize, that while I do know them, they are not who I thought they were, or been talking to someone knowing that I know them but not having a clue who they are. (And possibly saying awkward things because of this.)  One of these people is still driving me crazy because I still have no clue how I know them and she clearly knew me.  I have socializing issues.

Our Culture! Part III

So it continues.
ANTM.  How it changed our lives.  You see, when you are like girlfriend and me, it's always good to mock idiot girls who thrive on drama.  That's just our culture.  Most importantly, ANTM gave us The Booty Tooch.  A booty tooch is a pose in which one tooches out the booty so it looks... I don't know... big?

Many things can be used as props for your booty tooch;
Ridiculous amounts of cookie dough
Jugs of motor oil and oil stick-things
The screwdrivers you used to steal shelves out of another bedroom before roommates move in.
The swings
Or playing Guitar Hero in the basements of high school friends
Here is an early picture before girlfriend and I had ever heard of ANTM.  We're a bit ahead of our time.
It's important to always be ready for a booty tooch.
If you are wearing a poofy skirt, try to pull the bunches away from the focal point of the tooch so that it can be better viewed.
Some of you may have to throw away your "dignity and innocence" first
But if you prepare properly, you will always come out looking Oh-So-Sassy!
You may choose to do the twisty arm thing we learned on the next season of ANTM, or, just keep it simple.
Booty tooches may also be done in larger groups
But I've found the best are done in twos.
Just remember, don't be inconsiderate and "Stay on your side!".

Clearly the Booty Tooch is a hit for all those who see it.  See how pleased my parents are?
Continuing on with our visual history...

Summer passed uneventfully as I was back in Farmington.  Though we did have one clearly exciting event.
As all our roommates went on to bigger and better things, girlfriend and I were forced to move in with strangers.  We didn't go over so well with them.  Can't imagine why they didn't like us.  Probably because we are "disgusting pigs".
Fortunately our apartment was right beneath De-UN-drae Spraggins'.  A mostly boozed-up boy who was always asking us to find him some non-Mormon ladies for him.  Why is this so great?  Though he rarely got playing time, Deundrae played on the Aggie basketball team.  Girlfriend and I LOVE the spot where the sagebrush grows.  We once even chased STUUUUU! around campus while we were supposed to be at our posts during efy.
This is the "Conspicious" jacket from when Nicole semi-snuck into a game.
Though our old roommates had left us, we still had Knicole.  Knicole is Nicole's doll posterity though knicole is spelled with a K, like knife.  Knicole came to us through another one-time roommate during Freshman year.  Naked and freaky looking, the poor thing even suffered a stabbing at the hands of one Dan Bronson.  But that didn't stop Knicole from continuing to join us on our adventures.
