Jonny 11 Months

Baby is 11 months!

She still has no teeth but she loves to brush her teeth.
She's got this new little mischievous grin and I love it.
She puts absolutely everything in her mouth and if I ask her what it is, she will run away.  She also loves her baby food and she loves her finger foods, but she absolutely refuses to eat the baby food with little chunks of stuff in it.  She will throw a horrible fit.  She also loves peanut butter.
This girl loves to play and tease!  She loves to have me chase her around and she'll often pretend like she's going to give kisses but then turns away.
She's still afraid of everything.  She sometimes goes into full on panic from the tiniest noise or surprise.  I really think it's getting worse.
She waves at everyone and everything.
This month she had a miserable cold that lasted forever.  Poor thing couldn't breathe and was coughing all night.
I have to give her her food straight on the tray.  If I put it in a dish or something, then she throws it all over.
She loves to give great hugs around the neck and just snuggling with everyone and all of her stuffed animals.
This girl loves books more than anything.
 Just hanging out.
She was scared of the park.
 But loved the dinosaur
There were chunks in her baby food.
 Taking selfies
 This is my favorite.
She managed to climb back there and turn around.
 Fall walks
But she was scared of the sound of the river.
This is her new mischievous grin.  Fitting after she pulled everything out of the drawer and climbed on in.
She was the Mad Hatter for Halloween.
Atticus is a great helper with her.
 They were being a parade.
 Teeth brushing.
Two more because she's adorable.

Halloween

Well Halloween happened again this year.  Halloween is greatness.  October, and spookiness, and pumpkins, and costumes are greatness.  And now pictures to narrate which will include way too many of my kids in costumes.
Laura Pierson was in town about a week before Halloween so we got to see them (Laura, Henry, and Olivia) and go to the pumpkin walk!  (I left Jonny with Dan so she could nap.)
I love how into this picture they are.
Jonny is scared of everything.  Everything.  It was kind of fun to freak her out with stuff in October.  The Halloween costumes at the store were funny and I'm a horrible mom.
We got some pumpkins.  Atticus picked his because it had a little green on it and that's his favorite color.
He hated this.  I took video of him but it came out upside down (because I have mad-awesome technology skills).  He was just whining and saying "Ew, ew, this is gross" the whole time.

This was when Dan popped out the face he'd cut.  I love Atticus' look of surprise.  (And see the green on the pumpkin?)
He named it Dopa and he was in love.
Riding his bike to his friend Parker's house for some Halloween fun.
My cute friend Christy (Parker's mom) who lives down the street invited pretty much the whole neighborhood for a Halloween party and it was so much fun.  (And she took this great picture.)
This was me actually being social.  My neighbor, Rachel, threw a murder mystery dinner and I was only about 75% awkward the whole time.  But it was still fun!
We went to a little spook ally/trick-or-treat thing at the grocery store.  It was adorable and he was most pleased about his apple, which he ate like a weirdy.
I reluctantly let Atticus pick his costume this year and I wasn't too excited about his choice of Indiana Jones, but oh my goodness, he was so adorable in it and he'd run around singing the theme song.  Jonny was the Mad Hatter and I had fun making her costume.  I loved how it turned out even though she spent the night strapped in a stroller and wrapped up in a blanket.
And I love how Atticus is making sure she's not going to fall.
Also she was obsessed with that little ceramic bear.  She knew where it was on a shelf and was constantly trying to get it or whining until we brought it to her.
Protecting his sister again.  Plus when I asked about his expression he informed me that "Indiana Jones is always mad"
He's so proud of his costume.

 Practicing with his whip.

After pictures I let him stay out and keep practicing.  He wrapped it around a tree branch and was so pleased with himself.
This house was about a block away and he was so excited every time we passed it.  And then was a little spooked when we actually trick-or-treated there.  Also, he's hamming it up for the camera.

 His haul.
