My kid is great. He also happens to be less than a month from his first birthday. He is so much fun. He's a ham and a goofball and a bit of a turd. Oh ya and in his 11 month picture, he's wearing 6-9 month clothes. Get ready for more pictures than ever.
He can say mom and dad but he doesn't do it to get our attention. He'll usually just stop whatever he's doing to look at us and say our name. It's like he's doing it just to remind himself that we're there. He often does it when I'm nursing him and he'll stop, look at me and say mom, and then go back to eating. Sometimes when he's in the tub, he'll stop, point at me and say mom. He thinks it's hilarious when he does that. He will crawl to where he knows Dan is while saying "Dada" the whole time. Oh and he occasionally calls me dada too but his way of saying mom is a a mix of "Bom" and "Bum". Yep. Bum.
He thinks he's hilarious. He laughs at himself all day. He also thinks it's funny to fake cough. He will humor you with a fake laugh as well. And a fake cry. He'll pretend to cry and scrunch up his face and then do his best to make whiny noises. He usually does this when he wants help with something. He can turn it on and off in a split second.
He loves to point at everything, especially double pointing at his dad. And he loves to poke at people's eyes. If we ask him where our noses are he can point to them easily.
He'll more readily pick up his food and eat it if I put it in a dish rather than just straight on his high chair tray. Though he loves to push everything around if it's straight on the tray. He'll eat anything, but his favorite food is garlic bread. He'll pick out all the pieces of garlic bread from the varieties of things I put in front of him before even trying anything else.
He gives the best unsolicited bear hugs and kisses.
He's still only got his two bottom teeth. The top two have been causing him swollen grief for over three weeks now and they're driving us crazy.
He blows kisses and he'll repeatedly give high fives and then pull your fingers down so you'll make a fist for him to bump. He'll high five that too.
He's a bit of a smarty pants. He can control his remote control car and will even play with the wheels while he pushes the buttons so he can watch them spin. And if the car crashes and gets stuck he'll go move it so he can make it go again. He also is very good at matching circles. He can put the cylinder in his shape sorter toy. He likes to play with my lens cap and put it in the cup holder. He also has a Little People boat and knows where to put the captain in the cut out hole so that the captain will stay put. He also loves taking things out of containers and then putting them back in and putting on lids.
He loves to drink his bath water. Either he lies on his tummy and laps it up or he shoves his face in the running water for a drink. And that stuff doesn't come out slowly.
He loves his Grover more and more. I can tell how ready he is for bed by how eagerly he'll grab for Grover and squeeze him.
He loves to play catch with his wooden balls. He'll throw them at me and then gets so excited when I throw them back.
He's figured out how to climb up stairs but not down. He doesn't do it often. Only when he wants something really bad. For instance, when Dan took the vacuum upstairs. The kid is obsessed with the vacuum. He'll chase after it and even ride on it while we are vacuuming.
He's doing better at cruising. He's always done it just fine but he hasn't been interested. I have to put a trail of Cheerios along the couches so he'll follow them. He likes to walk with the bike Grandma Stella gave him too or pushing around boxes, or the laundry basket.
He gets severely wired when sleepy. It's hilarious.

"Please take your picture and be done."
This one looks exactly like a little girl I had in my class a few years ago...
He's a very happy kid 95% of the time.
This is my favorite picture of him right now. He was taking a break from following a Cheerio trail.
Loves to brush his teeth and his clothes.
A favorite game of his. He sits in there and rolls the balls around the sloped sides.
He was trying to eat snow but his coat was in the way.
Dan took him sledding. He was not pleased.

Trying to put his stacking cup on his head.
His first snow experience. No matter how freezing cold I am. He'll sit and play in/eat the snow all day.
45 Weeks 47 Weeks
We recently discovered that he has a "cheese" face. As soon as he sees me with my camera ready, he stops what he's doing and does this "smile".
Loves his bike. Dan had just given him a big push.
In case you somehow made it through this giant post and are dying for more, here's a link to videos of him dancing, playing with his remote control car, being a genius and other pointless things no one but his parents and grandmothers care about.
