"Baby Ammals"

The American West Heritage Center does a Baby Animal Days event every spring.  I took Atticus and met up with my friend Natalie and her two kids, Kennedy and Zadok.  Atticus LOVED it.  He kept randomly shouting out "Baby Ammals!" and every animal he saw he'd get excited and announce "I touch ammal!".  I was surprised how eager he was.  The first animal we saw was a donkey and Atticus petted him without hesitation.  Poor Kennedy was less enthused but she warmed up.

Atticus loved on the donkey and goat while Kennedy was so displeased.
Kennedy was feeling a lot better about life.

Kennedy was a little nervous about getting on the horse.  As it turned out, she was afraid of the man.  So they switched to a woman and all was well.

Love this kid.  We watched Kennedy ride a horse.
This was his favorite part.  He's asked several times since then if he can hold ducks and chickens.  He cried when he had to put them down.
This poor duck.  He wanted so badly to get away from Atticus.  Atticus just wanted him to sit on his "yegs".

Birthday Fun!

I was debating whether I should throw Atticus a birthday party this year.  I definitely wanted to because I like to make a big deal over birthdays, but our closest relatives (my parents) live an hour away in Farmington.  I hated the thought of asking people to drive all the way up, just to turn back around a couple of hours later.  My wonderful mom offered to let us use her house so that was a great help.  That made it so Dan's parents only had to drive for about a half hour.  My grandmother was able to come (Granny and Jenny were in Arizona) and my little sister with her husband, my little brother and Dan's younger brother and sister, plus his Grandpa Bytheway, and my older sister drove with her youngest kids all the way from Spanish Fork because she's a rock star like that.  Dan's older sister had planned on coming but then sickness took over at their house.  We were super bummed not to see them.  Atticus loves his Weber cousins.  They skyped in for a bit so the boys could see each other.  But ya, we had a full house.  I wasn't expecting that.

But Atticus had a blast and I was so grateful for everyone's love and support for my cute kid.  We had a great night.
Playing with some new toys before breakfast.
He's a great baker.  He called the cupcakes treat muffins.

So this cake belongs on the cake wrecks website but Atticus knew what it was right away so that's all that matters.
Cousins!  (Oaklee, Dayton, and Jersi)

No Granny this year to feed him a gallon of ice cream.  Too bad for them both.
 Squishy face snuggle.
Grandpa and Dayton
He made this astonished face with every present.  Even with the pieces of the BBQ set when he didn't even know what they were.

Isn't that envelope so beautifully decorated?  Thanks Uncle Brad!
He plays with these magnets everyday and is convinced they are still Sammy's.
First thing that morning when we asked if he wanted presents he jumped up and down and screamed yes.  He's much better with the wrapping paper this year.
This is the cutest lion hoodie.  Atticus loves wearing it around and growling.
 He "cooks" for me everyday.
This is pretty good.  He usually throws like a... I won't finish that sentence.
He always loves my mom's basement with Mickey Mouse everywhere.
Nana Nae
A.J. actually did have his girlfriend with him and this was her purse so not quite so awkward as it appears.
This was when I first showed him his cake.  And he is showing us that he is two.  (He just holds up his whole hand)  Now when asked his name, he says "A-cus, I two" or he just skips right over his name and tells us he's two.  Such a big kid.
Oh and one of my favorite things he got from Stefanie was this jacket, which was actually a hand-me-down from the boys I was a nanny for in New York, to Stef's son Tate.  I love that Atticus has it now.
