My kids and I went on a ton of hikes this summer and fall. But the one I loved the most was Willow Lake in September. Aspen trees everywhere. I have a thing for aspen trees. It was a pretty steep hike for four-year-old Atticus but he was a trooper. And the lake at the top surrounded by aspens was worth it.
I forgot the baby carrier so I stuck Jonny on my back with her legs strung out the sides of my backpack. It actually worked really well.
I love aspens.
