Atticus' Third Birthday

Yay for pictures of Atticus turning three!
So for months before his birthday Atticus informed me he wanted me to make him a caterpillar cake.  He occasionally decides he loves caterpillars.  He didn't give up on the idea and this is what came of it.  I was pretty proud of myself if I didn't look too closely at it.
Atticus was thrilled with his caterpillar and talked about it for days.
We invited our parent's and siblings to a little party the night before his birthday.  And because the weather's been thinking it's spring for the last month and a half, we were able to do it at a park which was fun.

Jonny was hating life.  And this picture is weird.  And also, Avery hid out in her carseat as she tends to do at social gatherings.
After one of the presents he opened, Dan told Atticus to nod at the person who gave it to him as a way of acknowledging and thanking them.  Then he did it after every present and it was hilarious.
These are fish place mats.  My uncle gave a bunch of these to my mom like 30 years ago and every time we're at my mom's house Atticus uses them for his meals and talks about how much he loves them.  He often tells me how much he wishes he had a fish mat.  So my mom gave him two as part of his present.  Probably his most favorite thing he received.
Fruit snacks!
 Papa Jon
 This is an attractive picture.
My mom is the baby whisperer and was the only one that could calm Jonny down.  Seriously, Jonny was screaming for like an hour until my mom finally took her.
I love the way he holds up his three fingers.
The morning of his birthday Atticus woke up to find balloons covering his floor (Don't mind that they say "Minute to Win It" on them.  I worked with what I had.)  It was great because he always wakes up kind of whining but then after a couple seconds we heard him just say "Wow!" when he discovered the balloons then he yelled for us to come see.
He then had a cupcake and a banana for breakfast.
We got him a tricycle for his birthday because I'm a little old school nostalgic.  We made him cover his eyes and wheeled it out to him. (It was pouring rain or we would've just brought him outside.)
Showing Dan the bell.
It takes a lot of coordination and practice to learn to peddle and learn to steer and then do it at the same time.  But after about a week he was cruising up and down the sidewalk.
The first time he was able to do the pedals on his own he got so excited he stopped pedaling.  And the whole time he just kept yelling "It's my birthday!"  Love this little boy.

Jonny Three Months

Okay so Jonny is just the nicest, happiest baby there ever was.  She smiles constantly and when she's fussy it sounds more like she's just trying to talk to us.  (And usually she's only fussing so someone will hold her.)  There have been times where if I didn't know better, I would try to make out what she was actually saying because it sounds just like garbly toddler talk.

Some more about this month
-She is great at tummy time.  Doesn't mind it too much and can hold herself up really well.
-She's getting better at swatting the things she wants.  Not quite able to figure out how to grab hold of them yet.
-She has some pretty blond roots growing in places which makes her look more bald.  But so far she's not really losing her hair either.  Fingers crossed.
-She's just like her brother was, and will not last very long at nap time.  She'll sleep for 30 minutes at the very most and then cry to get up.  She's always happy once I've come to get her though.
-She is trying so hard to laugh but mostly just grunts come out.
-She loves to have her feet tickled she grins and grunt laughs the whole time
-She's still sleeping in her cradle by my bed.  Mostly because I'm worried that Atticus' constant waking up at night will wake her up.  Or the fact that he wakes up before dawn and that maight wake up my baby who likes to sleep until eight.
-She loves to just lay in the bath and she doesn't mind getting out of the bath and doing lotion either.  But as soon as I try to get her dressed again, she cries as though she's realizing now that it's over.
These two are crazy about each other
He was so excited.  "Mom! We holding hands because are love uh-chother!"

 Baby Selfie!
She was grumping out about getting out of the tub and then not being held.
Fell asleep as soon as we went out to play in the snow.
 Best thing ever.
Jonny met her new cousin Avery.  These girls are 11 weeks apart.

Jonny's Blessing Day

We blessed Jonny on February 15th.  It was a beautiful, warm day and her blessing was wonderful.  We were able to have a lot of family come all the way up and we were grateful.  It was a really nice day.
Of course the best part of the day was right in the middle of the sacrament when she had a major blow out all over her dress and my older sister, Stefanie.  We had to wait out the passing of the sacrament and then the three of us spent nearly the rest of the meeting washing out her dress and my sister's skirt in the mother's room.  And it was hilarious.  Especially the dance we did to dry out her dress.  Also, in case anyone's interested, foam soap does wonders for baby poop stains.  It really was a wonderful day anyway
This face...
She wore the same dress I did when I was blessed except my mom helped me to add the cute pink ribbons.  And by that I mean she did it while I watched.
Our little family.
This was towards the end of the day and she was so worn out.
Kyndi's first time holding her.
 Adorable.
My little best friend, Oaklee.
 My impersonation of her.

My cute little sister, who had a baby about a week later.
Great faces.
 My Grandmas Stella.
My poor Granny, Winona.  Jonny was having none of it at this point.
Jameson reenacting scenes from Atticus' blessing.
Kyndi  photobombing.  I love the picture anyway.
 My dad.
Lydia was maybe the most done with pictures.
I wish this picture had come out better.  This is Dan's cute little brother, AJ.
 The Bronson grandkids.
 Papa Jon.
Once everyone had left, she let me know how happy she was to not be passed around anymore and stayed like this for an hour.
