"Escape to the Ape"

We were able to take a quick trip to Cape Cod for a couple days before the summer ended.  It was nice, the kids loved being on a trip, and we loved spending all our time by the ocean, though I don't see what the big deal about Cape Cod is.  People out here are obsessed with The Cape and about letting people know how often they get out to The Cape.
We stayed in a house right off a private beach which was a lot of fun to just walk down the path.  We also drove around to see lighthouses, other beaches, all the little towns, and eat a lot of fish (Yuck).

Easily kept herself entertained for the drive.
They were so pleased to have a bed to share.
The house we stayed at had a little Hobbit house in the back.  Can you see it back there?
Went out early to check out the beach, risking the coming rain.  (We got caught in it before we had left.)
I love this picture of the two of them.
Contemplating their existence in the world.
This boy.
Investigating sea life.
Out exploring.
Something off about this doormat we found.
On our last day it actually warmed up enough for a real beach day.
More sea life exploration.
Sandcastle building
Worn right out and, like a Bronson, sleeping with his eyes wide open.
