More Pictures of My Kids 2017

I gifted myself a Fotofly giftcard last summer because I wanted some pictures of me with my kids that weren't selfies on my phone.  For the first time I was disappointed in Fotofly studios.  The pictures of just my kids were great but the pictures of the three us, not so much.  We were posed really awkwardly, like we didn't even like each other or with all of us standing so I was towering over them.  It wasn't until the end when I asked if we could just take some more candid photos that any of them turned out well.  But anyway, here are some of the good ones.  (With Jonny just turned two and Atticus about three months shy of five.)
Jonny took a long time to warm up to the camera as she was so focused on following directions.  But we managed to get a few small smiles out of her.  Atticus, on the other hand, was so happy and smiley that both the photographer and I had to keep reminding him to put his tongue back in his mouth.
(I really like this 4-year old)
This was her favorite part.  She'd run across the room to get the stuffed puppy and then put him back and go do it again.
I love how these pictures turned out.  There were more of me actually interacting with Jonny but I guess they didn't make the cut at the studio.  She was pretty happy to just be lying in my lap.
I love this one of Jonny too as I reached over to tickle Atticus and she's looking like she might fall.  Her face is pretty great.

Jonny Age 2

My darling, stubborn, adorable, girly, rough-and-tumble, spitfire Jonny turned two.  She is a handful and is too cute for her own good.  She gets away with way too much because she's adorable and she knows it.  It's such a problem.  Mostly I just want to write down some things about her lately and post a million pictures.
The girl doesn't talk.  I mean, she does, but not much.  She's got a vocabulary of about 30-40 words (The doctor said she should have 50-100 by now) and a lot of them are people's names.  (Though she understands everything.)  She also doesn't use them if she doesn't want to.  And a lot of her talking is repeating what we asked her to say she doesn't volunteer her words much.  Her biggest two words are Eee-seee which means right here, or this one, or look, or sometimes other things, and Nnyea-nnyea which is just her stubborn word for when she doesn't want to say something we ask her to.  (Whether or not she knows how to say it.)  One of her favorite words to say is "Choo-choo-bus" which is what she calls both buses and trains.  I can always distract her just by saying choo-choo-bus and then she'll busy herself happily repeating it for the next 10 minutes.

She calls all bugs bees and bee is also the word she uses for when her foot is asleep, which happens constantly as she refuses to sit on her bum instead of her knees.
Chick still hardly has any teeth.  She is missing all her canines.  So I'm pretty sure, like her brother, they'll never come in.  (He has his canines but is missing his top lateral incisors.)
She is obsessed with her grandpa.  Like, talks about my dad all day long and wants no one else when he's around.
She is super snuggly and when she's tired, she shoves her face into my face and would sleep with her face squished into mine if I let her.  If I don't let her sleep that way, then she sleeps with her blanket over her head.
She refers to herself as "me", calls me mommy (Atticus has always called me mama) and calls Atticus, Ya-Ya.  She says yes by opening and shutting her mouth a few times with no noise.  Like a fish.
She knows some of her colors and loves yellow the best.  She loves all things Minnie Mouse (Mimi).  She does not care for the snow.  She will tell you that big girls use the potty and I plan on potty training her in the next couple of weeks.
She loves to sing and sings to herself all day and often as she is falling to sleep.  No words.  Just singing.  She also is a dancing machine.  She and Atticus love dancing and having dance parties.  She especially loves ballet.  She is the least graceful little ballerina there ever was.
She still adores Atticus and loves to copy him, although she has started to fight with him a bit both in a naughty way and just to be a turd.  She likes to pester him for fun like the other day when he worked really hard on a big puzzle and about a minute after he finished, she snuck over, stole a piece and ran off with it laughing.
She really loves horses right now.  She calls them neighs and she loves having neigh rides and giving others (us and her stuffed animals) neigh rides.
She has overcome her fear of bubble baths and loves them now.  She's also less scared of random things these days.  She calls scary things "Doo-doos".
I took her to her 2 year well check at our regular doctor in Logan as we were in Utah for Christmas just a few days after her birthday.  She's 33 inches tall and weighing in at 23 pounds.  Which is right around the 20th percentile for both.  She's just a little thing.

She loves that dumb cat, Mow, and tries to drag him everywhere.
 My orphan child
She loved swimming this summer.  She'd paddle around while I held her and even let me dunk her under.
This was one of my favorite days of all last summer.  Hanging out at the river and she just sat right down in it.
 Gangsta's Paradise
She's got a bit of a personality if you can't tell from the next few pictures...
And yes, her hair sticks straight up like that with just a little water.
She picked out her own outfit.
She loved the boat this summer.  I swear.
She was not a fan of the silly string.
Catching dust, a favorite passtime.
Just staying hydrated.

Her namesakes, my mom and grandmother.
Little stink.
 They adore each other.
She loves animals and has no fear.
 Papa Jon
She went through a phase (for months) where she would only fall asleep if I rocked her until she was out.
This ham of a child.  The second she sees my camera out.
She took her first airplane trip.  A red-eye with just me and she rocked it.
Asking me to say cheese for her picture.
How she prefers to ride in the cart.
This one needs a demon child caption.
 Jonny and Avery
Using her straw to make chopsticks.
Snaggle tooth.
Just panicking with happiness over a stuffed spider.  Totally normal.
Tiny Dancer.
