Jonny Birthday Pictures!

Because the world needs another post containing another million pictures of Jonny turning one!  We drove down to Fotofly for Jonny's picture in a crazy storm, where we very nearly died a few times. (Seriously, from Farmington to Draper was the worst roads I've ever driven on)  And where, after driving two hours, we were ten minutes away and some idiot went plowing in front of us.  I had to slam on the brakes, and Jonny's cute, little, perfectly matching cake with gold sprinkles went flying across the my car and died.  So my sister Stefanie, called the Smith's in Draper and they quickly whipped me up another one by the time I got there.  The frosting was the wrong color but they were so sweet to do that so quick AND they didn't charge me!  Huzzah for Smith's!

Because of the storm there was nobody else in the studio so that was kind of fun.  Also, we caught Jonny right at the phase where she was tired enough to be hyper and goofy but not yet grumpy.  It was perfect.  She was giggling and babbling the whole time!  Although she was not into the cake smash at all.  She tentatively poked at it and licked her fingers off.  That was it.  Which was weird, because the night before at her birthday party she made a mess of herself with one tiny cupcake.
 She was playing peek-a-boo.

 I love this face!

 Ballerina.

Her balloons were gold but yellow is fine too, I guess.

 With Bear.
I made her cake smash outfit and I love it.  It turned out so cute.  But whatever filters, etc the studio used in editing made it so you can hardly see the colors.  (They were gold, coral, and mint.)

 I love this one.

Happy Birthday, Jonny!

Baby chick had a birthday.  She is way too big already.  And her birthday was wonderful.  She is the sweetest thing and quite the pill and I love her.
We opened presents in the morning and then played all day. (Atticus very much enjoyed Jonny's new things.)  Then the next night we bribed our families to drive up here for a party so they could see our basement Dan had just finished.  I love birthdays and try to make a big deal out of it so I'm happy so many people could come up.  Yay!  Enough talk.  Pictures.
Opening presents.
She was actually pretty good at unwrapping her gifts.  She got a pink car, some books, a shopping cart to push around, and a baby doll.
This was her initial reaction to getting her baby.
I have never seen such a young kid get so excited about something.  I managed to get a little video of her freaking out while I got it out of the box.  (This is one picture of her being excited.)
And then she loved on her baby all day.  She loves taking care of her babies. (I got her another one for Christmas after this reaction.) She rocks them, pats them, sings to them, and kisses them.  Or she'll just carry them around while she's doing other things.

This is her shopping cart.  She hasn't quite figured out how to turn it yet.  So she walks until she crashes it and then whines.
Atticus played with the cart more.  He'd shop for stuff around the house and then put them under the tree as presents for us.
Birthday crepes.  (Because I get to decide what birthday dinners are if she won't tell me what she wants.)
 Party dress!
This blurry gem showed up on my phone at some point during the party.
 Playing with Grandma.
 Princesses from grandma and grandpa!

Nana Nae spoiled her rotten with a bunch of cute clothes!
 Cute Eli helping her out.
Some Bronsons!
 Nana Nae!
 Continuing the tradition...
Cupcake!  (Sorry, but not really, for all the pictures of her eating sugar.)
 She liked it.
And then Papa Jon painted her face in preparation of war.
Huzzah for cute baby birthday!
