Fall is the most perfect time of year. And by that I mean September is. September is perfection and it happens to bring Fall with it. (And glorious thunderstorms.) And as all the best people know, fall is such the best.
We had ourselves an eventful one, which I will now document in pictures. (Too many pictures, I apologize. But fall is my favorite and I had a very good one this year, full of roof-sits, good friends, and lots of time with my kid and my family.)
We started September off right by playing with our best friends, Laila and Jennifer, and Laura and Henry.
We tried for a cute picture. At least Laila cooperated.
These two had a hard time with each other.
Sweetest dog ever.
The story of our lives...
Corn maze and a giant, towering, terrifying house of haystacks.
With Franny and Holland
Ran into Janna at our parents' ward!
Made applesauce with my dad. The most perfect of fall time activities.
Atticus just beginning to discover the wonders of fall.
We played at Boondocks in Kaysville.
Threw my sister a bridal shower. Here she is reading her "Jenny card".
My Aunt Jenny has Down's Syndrome and she writes these amazing cards for all occasions. They often compliment our shiny hair or broad shoulders "on this very bright or very cloudy day, just to make us feel good all over".
This is her being embarrassed about what's inside.
Almost put a Ross quote here but decided against it.
Atticus made friends with William at the shower and told some hum-dingers.
They really got each other's humor.
The Disney babies.
Oaklee and I are best friends. She also likes to tease me by hiding fruit on my extremities.
The day after Sam's wedding, a bunch of us went to my little brother Jimmy's rugby game. Atticus was not that into it.
Or he just had his game face on for everything that day.
He did enjoy chasing him some giant geese.
So much so that he wanted to get in and swim with them once he chased them into the pond.
Playing with Anna.
Yay Jimmy!
Autumn!!
We went to Gardner Village with Dan's mom and sister.
"I'm Santa's representative for all the southern states, and....Mexico!"
Always striking out with the ladies.
And Nana-Nae!
I'm such an awesome mom I helped him face his fear of the giant, upsetting witch.
He's converted! Fall is the best!
Dan prepared Atticus for No-Shave November.
And we end with the disappointment that was Ender's Game.
