Christmas Pictures!

These are the best ever.  My kid is awesome.  And he is the cutest of all the children.  Also, that is me in the Santa suit.  I rocked it.  Every time he sees these pictures he points out himself ("Ass") and "Mamma Santa".
He was stomping his feet in excitement in this one.
 Eyelashes.
It took him about 2 hours to eat that cookie.

The One With All The Thanksgivings

We spent Thanksgiving up at the Bronson's cabin in the snow.  Which is one of the more perfect ways to spend Thanksgiving.  There was a fire, and there was sledding, and there was way too much delicious food.  There was also Doctor Zhivago, but I didn't say everything was perfect.  (Don't tell Jon I said that.)  Atticus as per the usual, did very little sleeping.  I also stayed up way past my bedtime.  Atticus was so happy to be with "Coo" and "Yie".  Lots of excellent naps were had by all.  Books were read.  And great stories were told.
The boys did a Little Mermaid puzzle I guess.
Pretty much the only thing Atticus was interested in.

Kid also enjoyed attacking me.  This is his fight face.
The men folk had to shovel off the deck but left a bit of snow for the kids.  And Dan was a woman.
Sledding!  He love/hated it.
My lumberjack.
And the pink marshmallow puff.
Early Christmas Present!
Atticus and Lydia.  The only time he was nice to her.  The rest of the trip he was a bully.
On the Saturday after Thanksgiving I met with my siblings and my cousin Justin and his wife Megan for our annual Christmas Eve-Eve cousin party.  My brother lives in Colorado and as his wife is due with their 3rd baby just days after Christmas, they were not going to be here for Christmas.  So we had the party early.  We play pounce each year and we are loud and obnoxious and Megan always brings the best treats and we have such the best time.
Jimmy had the kids play a racing game.  Atticus beat the other two by all the laps possible.

I don't have a clue what this picture is about.
 I love this Jonah kid.
I'm only sad I didn't get a picture of Brad being the "Share-y Fairy".

First Snow

We got some early snow this year starting the first week in November.
Checking out the backyard.
 "Code" (Cold)
Sad we made him come in.
Kid loves it.  Too bad his mean mom only let's him out in short increments.

Fall 2013

Fall is the most perfect time of year.  And by that I mean September is.  September is perfection and it happens to bring Fall with it. (And glorious thunderstorms.) And as all the best people know, fall is such the best.

We had ourselves an eventful one, which I will now document in pictures.  (Too many pictures, I apologize.  But fall is my favorite and I had a very good one this year, full of roof-sits, good friends, and lots of time with my kid and my family.)

We started September off right by playing with our best friends, Laila and Jennifer, and Laura and Henry.
We tried for a cute picture.  At least Laila cooperated.
These two had a hard time with each other.
 Sweetest dog ever.
 The story of our lives...
Corn maze and a giant, towering, terrifying house of haystacks.
 With Franny and Holland
Ran into Janna at our parents' ward!
Made applesauce with my dad.  The most perfect of fall time activities.
Atticus just beginning to discover the wonders of fall.
We played at Boondocks in Kaysville.
Threw my sister a bridal shower.  Here she is reading her "Jenny card".
My Aunt Jenny has Down's Syndrome and she writes these amazing cards for all occasions.  They often compliment our shiny hair or broad shoulders "on this very bright or very cloudy day, just to make us feel good all over".
This is her being embarrassed about what's inside.
Almost put a Ross quote here but decided against it.
Atticus made friends with William at the shower and told some hum-dingers.
They really got each other's humor.
 The Disney babies.
Oaklee and I are best friends.  She also likes to tease me by hiding fruit on my extremities.
The day after Sam's wedding, a bunch of us went to my little brother Jimmy's rugby game.  Atticus was not that into it.
Or he just had his game face on for everything that day.
He did enjoy chasing him some giant geese.
So much so that he wanted to get in and swim with them once he chased them into the pond.
 Playing with Anna.
 Yay Jimmy!
Autumn!!
We went to Gardner Village with Dan's mom and sister.
"I'm Santa's representative for all the southern states, and....Mexico!"
Always striking out with the ladies.
 And Nana-Nae!
I'm such an awesome mom I helped him face his fear of the giant, upsetting witch.
He's converted!  Fall is the best!
Dan prepared Atticus for No-Shave November.
And we end with the disappointment that was Ender's Game.
