So I have this little boy who comes to my class from functional skills. He is autistic, he's hilarious, and I adore him. Yesterday while he was there for calendar time, we were doing the pledge. He stared at me oddly the whole time during the pledge and when it was over, instead of joining the class he came over to me and said "You are very full." and put his hand on my belly. I told you him I had a baby in there. "You are full of a baby?!?" he asked. I laughed and he immediately started rubbing my stomach. Later in the day, he came back during reading groups and immediately just came over and started patting my stomach to say hello to the baby. He is so cute! Today anytime he came to my class he would touch my stomach as he walked by and then once in the hall he came up to me and started talking into my stomach. "Hello baby!" then put his ear to my stomach. "Baby's not talking.". I told him he can't talk yet so he told my stomach to learn to talk. I love it.
In other baby news, I am just shy of 30 weeks and all is well. I got myself some slightly girly bedding but whatever. I've actually registered at Target which, I think it's kind of weird to register, but as my sister pointed out, at least that way I can keep track of what I have and what things I've researched and want. You're all welcome to go buy me all the expensive things though. :) Dan and I have our baby names narrowed down and now we're discussing the best middle names. Child loves to dig his feet into my ribs these days, especially at night.
Other than that, things are well. I had parent teacher conferences today and more tomorrow. Mostly they're going well. I've got good kids. Dan's doing great at work. He presented his team's wireless power project at an event for the Engineering Dynamics lab the other day. His was the coolest one there.
That's about all we've got for January. We're pretty boring.

The cookies at the event.
They were supposed to look like Dan's wireless electric pad.
(He's pointing to a mini version of it in the other picture.)

All my 3rd graders would pat my stomach and call the baby "Junior". With the kids I liked, I didnt mind it. :) haha. I had an autistic student in my class too, he wasnt too interested in the baby though.
