Additional Springtime Things 2016

So during the springtime-y things of 2016, there was also a Mother's Day, a Friday the 13th event, and a Memorial Day.

Got a rose at church for mother's day.  Jonny quickly claimed it as her own and then, like the adorably impish, handful that she is, ran around like crazy the rest of the church.
My best boy.  He made me a mama and I am so happy he did.
Took some delightful pictures whilst we snuggled together for mother's day.
Doing her old lady face.
My loving little girl.

My little sister, Samantha, once complained that her birthday had never fallen on Friday the 13th.  Her birthday is May 12th...
So this year May 13th was on a Friday and my younger brother, Jameson, came up with the brilliant plan to ignore her birthday (and yes, I had guilt about this) and surprise her the next day.  We went to an escape room in American Fork.  We did not tell Sam where we were taking her so when we showed up to a random trailer in a parking lot with a heavily bearded, bald man who resembled Shia Labeouf, Sam was a little freaked out.
Don't let the grin fool you.  She was super nervous as beardy Shia explained what we were doing.  The point was to unlock the lockbox that held the key to get out.  We were given no clues, no story line, just a time limit.  It was fun.  And I was useless at finding and solving clues.
(See how helpful I was?  And hey!  There's Shia!)

Memorial Day
We went down to my parent's house for an ice cream extravaganza!  Williams' make ice cream.  We make ice cream very well.  My grandpa ran The Cottage Ice Cream in Bountiful.  We make excellent ice cream.  And hot fudge.
So anyway, we were all going to bring our ice cream makers and make a boat load of ice cream.  However only Jimmy and I ended up making any.  (Which is still a boat load of ice cream.)
Before everyone else showed up, my kids hung out with grandpa watching clouds and airplanes.  My mom ended up being sick so she stayed inside.
Jonny and Avery hanging out with the neighbor's dogs.
Jonny's face is sad because she ran out of ice cream.
Who needs a bowl or a spoon?

Springtime Things 2016

Random Springtime-y things!

Dan took the kids on some pony rides and to pet some random animals
This picture makes me laugh.
 Did some river walks.
Easter happened.  Jonny did some great chicken impressions.
 Their Easter best.
My mom took my sisters, my sister-in-law, Madi, and me out to dinner and to do some awesome bowling.  Right at the end of dinner, something accidentally inappropriate was said.  I lost it.  Laughed so hard people were staring and then I couldn't make it to the car.
Just eating a frosty at Eldredge Manor.
 A most excellent big brother.
Spent a day playing with glowsticks.  Jonny thought she was doing the same cool trick as Atticus.
 Atticus in his "Bommet".
Just a typical Cache Valley spring evening.
And a typical Cache valley afternoon where snuggling a blanket on the driveway is necessary.
Atticus gave his first primary talk and it was the cutest thing to ever happen.  He did awesome and was so excited the whole time.  He even yelled to me in the back of the room that it was almost his turn as they were announcing the program.  He really did so well.  I'd just give him the first two or three words and he could spit out the next two or three sentences.
This is him practicing in the empty primary room beforehand.
And this is Jonny being his audience.
Doing some coloring with Oaklee.
There was a mustache party at school.  Jonny was none too pleased with her required participation after school.
Not that amazing looking, but I love my front yard in the spring.
 Walks to see the cows.
Atticus moo'd until all the calves came to see what he was talking about.
Some spring yard work.  Jonny thought my dirty hands were fascinating.
We got a free oak tree.  We planted what was basically a stick on the last day of April, and I figured I'd probably kill it.
 But I didn't!
 And it's so big now.
Atticus is very proud of our tree.
(And my raspberry bush is out of control.)
Stole his friend, Knight's "tractor".
Jonny snuggles!
This girl.
 My boy is a sweetheart.
Pajama day at school!
My car hit 10 years and 100,000 miles.  And yes, I'm a dork and took a picture.
 Unintentional matchy matchiness.
These two were always so thrilled when I had to make copies at school.  (And despite what it looks like, they actually did go to babysitter while I taught.)
And obviously I taught some amazing things in reading groups when we read a book about worms and another about snakes.  I'm sure their mother's were proud of their work.
Hanging out at the park.
